LG Dryer Error Codes
LG dryers show a code when the exhaust is blocked, a sensor fails, or the door won't close. Find yours below with the meaning and the first fix.
d80 / d90 / d95
Means: Exhaust duct blockage — the number is the percent blocked.
Fix: Clean the lint filter and the entire exhaust duct to the outside; check for a crushed or kinked duct. On gas models, d80 can also mean low gas supply.
tE1 / tE2
Means: Thermistor (temperature sensor) error.
Fix: Unplug the dryer, hold START/PAUSE for 5 seconds, then restore power and run a cycle. If tE returns, the thermistor needs service.
dE
Means: Door error — the door isn't closing or the switch is faulty.
Fix: Close the door fully until it latches. If the code stays, replace the door switch.
PS
Means: Power supply error — improper voltage at the terminal block.
Fix: Have the terminal-block wiring checked; reversed white and red wires on a new install are the classic cause of PS.
CL
Means: Child Lock is on — this is not a fault.
Fix: Press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds until CL disappears from the display.
